Commanders Message
Welcome All Cadets, Parents, and Guardians:
This past year we have accomplished so much. Our academic and leadership teams have successfully completed the first round and will move onto the second round in the Junior Leadership Academic Bowl. Although we lost our Honor Unit with Distinction, we have high hopes for our future leaders to earn the title of the true vikings HUD.
For this new year, we have many activities planned including JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge, Military Ball, Waianae Adventure Challenge and awards ceremony. During classes for third and fourth quarter, we will be conducting Rope Bridge, Rappelling, and Air Riflery.
We would like to end this year with the best activities and have the returning cadets start the new school year 2011-2012 motivated and ready to lead.

Training Tomorrow's Leaders
I just wanted to thank those who went to the STAFFEX this past weekend (January 31st-February 1st, 2009). Hopefully everything you learned from the classes, will not depart from your memory. Use what you've learned to become better leaders. Because afterall, that's what we're training you for :)

Please make an effort!
We would like to take this time to thank you for your hard work and commitment to the JROTC program, however, we find it important to make the mission of JROTC clear.
JROTC “motivates young people to become better citizens. Our purpose is to encourage you to make your graduation requirements and succeed both in JROTC and in all your other High School Classes.
JROTC needs to pass an inspection. This inspection requires us to have a minimum of 51 cadets for our events, including parades and Military Ball. Attending these events is VITAL to the continuance of the JROTC program. If we do not have 51 cadets attend Military Ball, we will fail this portion of the inspection. If we do not make the inspection, the JROTC program will be DISCONTINUED.
We do not have NEARLY enough cadets. If you cannot make the grade check, try to talk to your teacher, or put in a little more effort; we will accept D’s but not F’s. If your grades are acceptable, we expect you to attend. Not attending affect your participation portion of your JROTC grade.
If you are a Geographical Exemption student, keep in mind that without the program, you will have to take Band or PALC or attend a school in your district!
Lastly, we hope you will take this seriously and choose to attend. And to help you out, we have extended the deadline until THIS Friday 12/12/08.
Thank You & hope to see you there!

We need YOUR help!
CADETS!
Our annual Military Ball is coming up in December! And we can't make this happen without your help. Unfortunately, we have a very low budget to work with, and we are trying desperately to raise enough funds to make this year the best :) So please, help us, and yourself out by selling the tickets we're passing out on Thursday and Friday. We need all the help we can get, so make your contribution to this event. We want it to be a great one so pitch in and help. Thanks guys!
